A prayer guide was used during the forty day exercise. Interviews and a questionnaire were used to capture the participants' prayer practices before and after the forty days. The analysis of the participants' responses provided the research with a before and after picture of the participant's prayer lives. He believed that this was partially due to a lack of prayer regarding the preaching. He therefore led the church in cultivating an atmosphere of prayer for the preaching through deepening his own prayer life, teaching a six-week lesson series on intercessory prayer, and preaching four sermons on how to have a powerful prayer life. A likert scale assessment tool was used to measure the group experience impact on the areas of spiritual, emotional, mental, volitional, behavioral, and relational well-being. The most prominent finding was increased spiritual wholeness through inner healing prayer which positively impacted their spiritual well-being.
