The thesis is an attempt to be a resource for hands on training to make this preaching a lifelong task.  The thesis begins with chapter one outlining the need for Christ-centered or Gospel preaching.  Chapter two supplies the theological basis for Christ-centered preaching.  Chapter four sets out the homiletics course focussed on a '5C Gospel grid': clarity of the whole, coherence of the parts, correspondence of salvation themes, centering on Christ and challenging with Christ.  The course is based on the sermons in Acts as a pattern of Christ-centered preaching. This project is designed, through an expository sermon, to reintroduce the listener to a premarital process (courtship) that in the past produced more solid and committed marriages in the history of America, but unfortunately has been long forgotten. In this study a pre-sermon survey was taken to cull the respondents' preconceived ideas about the subject of courtship followed by the preaching of a message on the subject of virtue of courtship rather than traditional American dating. Following the preaching of the sermon, a post-sermon survey was taken to see if the respondents' opinions had changed based on the information they received from the sermon. Did this sermon persuade the respondents to change their opinion and consider the premarital process of courtship as a more virtuous process than traditional dating? That is the answer this project seeks to find out. It was the author's hypothesis that they did not. A qualitative research project was conducted, which included a literature review and interviews with twelve EPC pastors all of whom had at least ten years of ministry experience. This study confirmed the author's initial belief that preaching through Revelation is being neglected by EPC pastors. factor's such as absence of significant seminary training in Revelation, a perceived lack of practical application for today's listener and a deficiency of pastor's personal study in the book were all contributing factors. The project director studied various resources in order to identify the key elements of an effective evangelistic expository preaching model.  Upon identifying the key elements of the evangelistic expository preaching model, the project director developed four sermons based on the elements of that model.  The project director then preached the sermons incorporating the key elements of the preaching model.  To insure improvement of the project director's preaching skills, the project director submitted all work to Robert L. Its purpose was to qualitatively explore, using surveys, focus group and sermon analysis, the place of each of the proofs in informing the communicative bridge building of sermons among evangelical English-speaking pastors and missionaries in Peru.
