As an element of the persuasive milieu of Scripture, the charge to preach includes style.  Both testaments manifest God's love of linguistic art for its theology.  Current homiletics textbooks, however, cannot hope to explain all theories of style and include performance pedagogy.  This project, therefore, developed lectures on style's verbal and nonverbal factors for preaching, taught the lessons, and evaluated the learning outcomes to identify course improvements.  The research design combines content analysis of student work, ethnographic study of teacher and student critiques, and survey research. This can occur because preaching is difficult, demanding and done in isolation.  Could a preachers' peer mentoring group encourage the preacher and strengthen their preaching?  The scripture reveals pastors need to be concerned about their preaching.  The Bible affirms mutual support and offers examples of peer mentoring.  Peer mentoring is widely used in many fields today.  From secular and Christian insights, a peer-mentoring program for preachers was designed, implemented, and tested. This thesis will review what expository preaching is, and then go specifically into the theology of preaching for the Korean church and how past religions such as shamanism, Buddhism, and Confucianism have influenced Korean preaching today.  The participants will conclude the course with a time to preach in class and be evaluated; this is something most Korean seminary students do not have the opportunity to do. The enhancement of computer-based software and improvements in microcomputers and operating systems is enabling the design and development of a wide range of multimedia education compact disc (CD) products.  I will use this technology to create an interactive tool that supplements classroom lessons and the individual reading of the textbook Biblical Preaching. Because students have different perceptual strengths, information on the CD-ROM will be presented in a variety of formats.  The exercises will incorporate the use of audio and video, as well as written text to accommodate the different ways that people process information. My philosophy in regards to the interactive CD-ROM is that learners should be able to approach learning in a way that takes account of their own learning needs and learning style. This writer theorized that a preacher's homiletical skills would increase when exposed to an understanding of the various biblical genres.  The theory evolved into the development of a survey-style seminary course taught at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  The data collected from the test instruments administered during the course supported this writer's theory.  Chapter 1 of this thesis-project presented the problem and its setting. The problem was the need for a survey-style preaching course from the perspective of the biblical genres, and the setting for the thesis-project was the Leveall College of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary located in Decatur, Georgia.  Chapters 2 and 3 detailed the theological framework for this thesis-project.  The framework included an understanding of expository preaching, holistic interpretation of the Scriptures, and the incorporation of the biblical genres into the art of expository preaching.  Chapter 4 presented the literature review for this thesis project.  Sidney Greidanus's The Modern Preacher and the Ancient Text served as the skeletal foundation for this thesis-project.  Chapter 5 detailed the implementation of the project, the teaching of a new survey-style preaching course.
