In chapter 1, the significance and aim of the study are stated.  An effort is made to clarify authority in Christianity in chapter 2. Chapter 3 discusses the authority of the pastor in the church.  The authority of the pastor in the Korean church is dealt with in chapter 4.  The following chapters examine the authority of the pastor in the PCK by means of research and personal interviews (twelve hundred pastors and congregations are included).
