The project analyzes biblical texts, finding full warrant for Christian political action, and examines the US Constitution and models of political advocacy among religious and nonreligious groups in order to recommend political strategies for black churches. Primary research tools included questionnaries and interviews. Survey results indicate that a high degree of racism in established American congregations (both black and white) sometimes hinders developing relationships.  Ingrained cultural perspectives are problematic. Some Haitians and some established American groups are making significant advances in learning from one another.
