The author conducted a random sample survey of Latino (males) from different parishes in the Archdiocese of Denver, Colorado. The study included questionnaires, personal interviews and observations as well as consultations with pastors, parochial vicars and lay Latino leaders. In contrast to the vast majority of Latinos who seemed to approach Catholic practices only sporadically, the study revealed the depth of other Latinos responding to God's call, their spiritual progress and the positive influence in their families and their communities."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127513866436608,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:45:07.383Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:08:58Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:39:40Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"bb6f2488-5619-4e71-8fdd-a4302f266bda","accessControl_ssim":["28971f8c-1790-4a1b-bbb1-38137c8c456c"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Mental health crisis and spiritual resilience: a manual for church leaders"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:08:57Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:31:31Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["195c7a13-65a0-4572-a402-a8bbdc0f91b8"],"hasLease_ssim":["97e361bb-512c-45b1-8afd-4738687292bc"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Logos Evangelical Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Susan Chou"],"year_tesim":["2008"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Yi Ming Kao"],"publisher_tesim":["Logos Evangelical Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Mental health","Religion","Spiritual life--Christianity","Christian ethics"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Christians, just like everbody else, are not immune against divirce, pornography, lasciviousness, and domestic violence. If we do not live out the aroma of Christ, we would gradually pitch our tents toward evil and start believing that we are like God as reflected through our action and speech. Though these Koreans have been living as Soviets under the old Soviet socialist system, their ethnic identity had been challenged since the October Revolution of 1917. Now, after the independence of Uzbekistan in 1991, they face once more a crisis in their political and ethnic situation. Due to these circumstances, the identity of Uzbekistan Koreans has gone through changes and become assimilated into the environment. This research presents, in detail, the process of transformation of the ethnic identity of Koreans who were participants in particular historic circumstances of Uzbekistan. The research will analyze from a missiological point of view the significance of the preservation of and the change in ethnic identity of a minority in a multi-ethnic nation, and suggests a model of mission strategy to Koreans in Uzbekistan based on that analysis. By analyzing the cause of change in the ethnic identity of Korean-Uzbeks, this research will also establish a mission mandate in Central Asia: the recognition of a new identity for Uzbekistan Koreans similar to the Israeli Diaspora as 'a people of God.'"],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Trinity Evangelical Divinity School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["c654e922-76d0-4427-ac29-e286b7997781"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791124920691851264,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:03:54.339Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:47:32Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:06:27Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"93dfe3fa-de5e-4f85-8b36-a9789b4ea156","accessControl_ssim":["d88c1a57-d497-44c6-9679-0f50c210bc15"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The Presbyterian Church (USA) and world religions: a theological evaluation"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:47:31Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:27:38Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["5f195482-13ab-42b5-a334-24a7cce920eb"],"hasLease_ssim":["2384d432-95ad-4952-a292-d1aa7a63a44e"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Stephen Hayner"],"year_tesim":["2008"],"location_tesim":["United States"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["William H Camp"],"keyword_tesim":["Theology, Presbyterian","Doctrine"],"publisher_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Religion","Religious pluralism","Christianity and other religions","Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)","Theology"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Christendom in the United States is dying.
