The pastor of Union Baptist Church in Clarke County, Mississippi, is planning to launch Christian addiction-recovery ministries centered on weekday Celebrate Recovery [registered symbol] meetings. The ministries are collaborative works involving selected Chrsitians from Southern Baptist churches in the local Baptist associations. Phase two of these ministries include the addition of a rotating Friday night contemporary worship service at the same non-church locations where the weekday meetings will be held. Three goals are the foundation of this Doctor of Ministry equipping project. The first goal is to research addiction recovery in order to identify group facilitation skills. The second goal is to develop a curriculum to equip selected addiction-recovery ministry leaders in east Mississippi, in group facilitation skills. The third and final project goal is to equip selected addiction-recovery ministry leaders in east Mississippi, in group facilitation skills. The inquiry built on the common ground for unity, offered an experience of cohesion for the leaders, facilitated relationship building and unveiled a story of their church in new light. It showed that Appreciative Inquiry can be an effective means for crossing sub-group boundaries and intercultural barriers. The project director identified key components of spiritual development in regard to ministry leaders and volunteers. This project examined academic standards of spiritual formation. The project director selected a strategy team that assisted in the development of the plan for Central Baptist Church. The strategy accomplished four primary goals. The project director inspected the current state of spiritual formation as well  as academic standards in the area of spiritual formation. The research, as well as interviews with the principal ministry leaders, aided in the development of a spiritual formation strategy that the team developed and presented to the staff of Central Baptist Church for approval and/or endorsement, The project director engaged multiple methods of evaluation including expert evaluation, research, and surveys. The  project director enlisted the participation of twenty two adults from the congregation. The participants were then taught using a curriculum on henneneutic methodology written by the project director. The equipping class consisted of eight sessions taught on consecutive Monday evenings and focused on the essential methods of the observation, interpretation and application of Scripture. Laity do not tend to speak about the spiritual experience and consequently can lack confidence in spiritual leadership. Through these steps strategies were developed and training program designed to equip the Chinese diaspora congregations in Ukraine.
