Ten men and women in the Dalton District of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church committed four weeks to the project.  The district superintendent was the convener, a co-participant, and provided leadership by precept and example.  Sessions included theological foundations of wellness, a medical evaluation of each participant, identification of healthy eating and exercise habits, and application of learnings to the local church and community.  All participants met at least one of their goals relating to diet and/or exercise. SAI has made a category mistake because it uses the wrong intellectual tool, science, to answer a theological question.  Science is unwarranted to answer theological questions.  Despite the claim that their work is 'value neutral,' proponents of SAI show their values as they attempt to answer these theological questions.  A dialogue between those working in SAI and theologians needs to be established.
