The methodology includes a questionnaire and focus group involving tertiary level Caribbean students, as well as interviews.  The research detects a paradigm shift in core values, a technology-led change in morality and apparent breakdown in responsiveness and leadership in key social institutions, and determines that family, school, and church are still vital in transmitting wholesome values and restoring a society's moral equilibrium. This study assesses how well the leadership has enabled the church to be a transformative presence in the Jamaican culture during the period 1967-2012. The research uncovered that with a new emerging culture many changes that needed to be implemented by an effective leadership did not happen. This project considers how Sportvereine ('sport clubs') offer a promising gospel outreach ministry through community partnership and social networking. Could this gap be bridged? Survey findings revealed common obstacles; however, Kid's Games, Sola and Elebniscamp Kirche und Sport represented three separate models that met with a modicum of success closing the 'sacred-secular' gap. This was accomplished operating from a values-based platform. For effective mission in the rural context, the author researched theological foundations -- Contextulaization and Konvivenz mission theology -- to support No-ri mission. Based on those two theological factors, the author approached the people in the rural community with Samul No-ri as a representative of Korean traditional culture, because of the familiarity of Samul No-ri in the context. In order to understand these obstacles the researcher did a theological review of the values of Jesus' Kingdom and a literature review of the values of suburban middle-class culture. Of particular interest to the researcher is the significant amount of time and money that people invest in sports. Study of the Bible, missiological practice, and the Japanese context via surveys and interviews with Japanese pastors indicated that it is a biblically, missiologically, and culturally valid and sound approach for ministry in Japan.
