The workshop discovers similarities in human nature, life experiences, feelings, and needs between Western and Eastern traditions. Different traditional theological methods have one goal: to understand living human documents and meet human pastoral needs. Research identifies regional planning deficiencies among northeast Brazilian evangelicals. Training compensates by emphasizing group decision-making and problem-solving models oriented to church planting and leadership needs, especially dedicated to Vacation Missionary Projects (Promifé).  Research follows biblical-theological lines, using narrative passages of both testaments.  Theoretical investigation includes leadership, management, planning, education, church planting, training through coaching and small group dynamics.  Qualitative growth is observed among students. The uses the same instructors, entrance requirements, courses, and examinations in both programs. Student and instructor questionnaires were subjected to Chi-square, t-test analyses, and Aspin-Welch Unequal Variance t-test to measure felt equivalence. This project develops teaching and resource materials to train a small group of Baptist ministers to deal effectively with the issue of polygamy. The project uses videotaped theology courses developed by Christian Workmen's Institute (CWI) to demonstrate that local church members can be trained for pastoral ministry in the field. Three case studies document and analyze programs presenting the tapes in three different congregations. The project includes a literature search on the subject of 'mentoring', a survey of pastoral internship opportunities offered by a representative group of evangelical seminaries and graduate schools of theology, a comparative analysis of three local church internship programs similar to the effort at Blue Church, and detailed appraisals of the six internships already served at Blue Church, carried out by means of personal interviews with each former intern. The author did research to find relevant seminar topics.  Six seminars were then developed by the author and presented over a period of one semester to fifteen students.  After four months, the author evaluated the effects of the seminars on the students' lives and ministries. Three seminars were found to be helpful and the rural students had been effectively trained for city ministry.
