The purpose of the practicum was to provide a setting in which counseling skills would be improved and in which awareness of women's experiences would be increased.  The project provided an opportunity for reporting the practicum findings and incorporating this information into theological reflection. They frequently seem more concerned with the church's new appearance than how the building will aid in carrying out the mission and conducting the worship of their church.  The handbook is to be used to assist the congregation as it engages in dialogue about the mission of the church and the worship of their congregation.
