This ministry project deals specifically with accomplishing this task.  The project provides a theological and theoretical foundation with a strategy for planning, implementing, and evaluating the use of sensory stimuli to communicate biblical truths.  The project focuses on a group of participants and their journey as they learned and practiced shared biblical truths using their five senses. The focus was on the potential likelihood of multisensory communication to bring about transformation in the life of the worshipper. Predictors of transformation used were affect and personal involvement in the multisensory aspects of the worship services. Noting that the worship tradition of Main Street Baptist Church has been concentrated primarily in the auditory channel, the project applies neurolinguistic programming in planning worship services to involve more of the senses, emphasizing the importance of human sensuality in the experience of God. God's communication of truth through Scripture consistently utilizes sensory appeal. The development of a Scriptural Sensory Catalogue reveals that Scripture consistently appeals to the senses.  Analysis demonstrates that biblical sensory appeal is functional as well as consistent.  Categories of functional purpose emerge for each of the five senses.  Biblical precedent encourages homiletical application.
