Church leaders provided descriptive responses to their observations which surveyed and assessed their understanding and willingness to adopt Servant Leadership into their respective church ministries. The methodology of this study comprised the design and selection of three instruments, the application of the surveys, and data analysis.  The findings enabled the researcher to create a profile of the observed community. The Korean immigrants have experienced great growth since they first came to Hawaii in 1903. The Korean church in America has also undergone tremendous growth. First of all, this study presents the history of Korean immigration to the United States and the accompanying growth of the church in various stages from 1903 to the present. In addition, the study analyzes the results of a survey on what kind of leadership Korean American church congregation members desire. Many of Korean American church congregation members want the servant leadership model for their pastors because they have difficulty adapting to their new life in America. They suffer physical and mental stresses and depression arising from life as a minority group in a foreign land.
