Churches need to practice the Eucharist in spaces other than church sanctuaries, and space in sanctuaries should be organized to embody meanings of the Eucharist. Churches should also embody in the Eucharist a Christian understanding and practice of time rather than an American time orientation. Through a process of theological reflection, based on experience, culture, and the church's tradition, the Christian faithful in a specific geographical context in Africa--the Igbo people of Nigeria--tell their own story of the Eucharist.
