Following the ministry skill enhancement model, the project director researched the field of life application preaching. The project director developed a 'Life Application Preaching Annotated Bibliography' and a 'Life Application Preaching Best Practices' document. The project director then developed a four-week sermon series and preached the sermons at Warrior Chapel, Baghdad, Iraq, where the project director serves as the Baghdad Diplomatic Support center Chaplain. The project gathered a select group of subject matter experts to evaluate his sermons. His question was this, 'can I help soldiers who have a hard time adjusting to the Korean Army by teaching the art of re-authoring their myths while they are in vision camp?' He used a combined a case study and a ministry tool that can be used in any vision camp or any retreat program in local churches. The result was a quite good but some limitations are found. Those organizations plan, resource, and prosecute military operations in support of National defense and security interests. However, the Army, Air Force, or Navy chaplaincies currently do not prepare military chaplains to advise strategic military commanders on the implications of religious affairs. The author was managing editor for Joint Publication 1-05 'Religious affairs in joint operations,' November 2009 and followed Department of Defense standards for developing and publishing Joint doctrine. This was a descriptive case study using data from four married military couples. Husbands and wives responded to questionnaires and an interview designed to measure the father's/husband's leadership style and family life satisfaction. Results showed a positive relationship between leadership dimensions and quality of family life. His congregation is made up of soldiers who are twenty to twenty-two and do not like the army life.  However, the soldiers encounter religions by choice in the military service.  Many soldiers come into contact with Christianity.  The author has thought about what these young soldiers want in their own spiritual lives and how the military church can help them. The author therefore asked the following questions regarding military mission in the light of pastoral care: (1) What is the meaning of military service for men, and what is the meaning of the period of military service in the life cycle?  (2) What is the soldiers' life before enrollment in military service, and what do they think of their lives after their service is completed? It provides a structure that encourages soldiers to reflect on their values, define their goals, identify and participate in activities that enhance recovery and begin their transition either back to their units or into civilian life. It is a challenging aspects of life.  Traumatic events may come while serving as a member of the armed forces in a time of combat.  Knowing how to conduct therapy is only one element of providing care.  This project will look at how attachment, liturgy, ritual, counseling, and preaching can serve as elements of pastoral care.  Exploring these elements provides a reminder of how we tap into valuable procedures for pastoral care. Getting help enables a person to cope. The method of research was pro-active. The researcher is a chaplain who deploys with the troops so what is experienced by the soldiers also affects the researcher. The study results are designed to enhance soldier readiness on a spiritual level. For six consecutive Sundays at the Bolling Air Force Base Chapel Center, the usual amount of lay leadership was significantly increased by advanced preparation and enlisting volunteers from the congregation. Surveys taken before and after the experimental Sundays indicated the congregation liked the additional lay leadership, but not more than about ten minutes total; any more would make the service too long.
