Chapter 2 develops the biblical and theological foundation for a ministry with remarried couples.  Chapters 3-5 address the design, implementation, and evaluation of a ministry project with 8 Southern Baptist remarried clergy couples during a weekend retreat. This project aided the process of understanding, support, acceptance, and direction for remarried clergy couples. Initiating the project was a survey of a congregation's perception of faith.  Results of the survey reflected the need of Baptists to address the place of experience after the 'born again' event, a lack of discipline, and the influence others have on an individual's spiritual growth.  At the end of the project a survey was taken that showed Southern Baptists can develop an understanding of spirituality as journey.
