Questionnaires were sent to over two hundred interested persons.  Study groups took the information and concluded that the greatest needs of the directors of associational missions and their wives relate to isolation.  Support groups were enlisted in four associations.  The design of the support meeting included planned activities to break down barriers, share and prayer time and informal conversation and games. This project uses the focused interview to identify transitional difficulties and the availability of assistance in these categories: theological, personal, economic, familial and relocation.  It draws conclusions, with correlative implications, from these interviews.  Southern Baptist ministers, generally, are not adversely affected by ministry in the military.  They usually return successfully to ministry within their denomination. Four seminar sessions were presented to better establish theology as a foundation for building a new church. A psychometric tool, the 'Anger Self Report', was adminstered to a population of Texas Panhandle Southern Baptist clergy.  Areas explored included awareness of anger, general expresison of anger, physical expression of anger, verbalization of guilt and anger, condemnation of anger, and mistrust. Statistical analysis indicated no change; however, both the pre- and post-test scores of the participant apprentices resembled very closely those of previously successful church planter apprentices. Analysis of the information generated by questionnaires via telephone interviews indicated the orientation produced positive change, both hypothesized and additional. They have limited Southern Baptist experience.  This project is designed to help these church members cooperate as Southern Baptists. Experimental and control groups were tested on knowledge, attitudes and involvement in Southern Baptist polity and the Southern Baptist cooperative program.  The experimental group was trained in six two-hour sessions in these areas. Both groups were tested at the conclusion of the sessions. The thesis of this paper is the importance of Christian education in the church, most specifically the black Baptist church.  The method of doing this study is through personal interviews of directors, teachers, pastors and students who are affiliated with the center using the above listed curriculum.
