This analysis employs the concept of addiction, especially in its symbolic meaning.  Archetypal addiction is to dedicate, consecrate, and devote to the gods.  The archetype of addiction has been split.  We see this splitting especially in the areas of extroversion-introversion, persona-shadow, and animus-anima. A sense of the real comes through the healing of these splits. After surveying the perceived spiritual formation needs of students in one seminary, four teaching/learning activities were designed and implemented.  Although the whole project was carried out within a period of only eight weeks, there was a favorable response to the learning experiences and some progress in the use of spiritual disciplines was revealed.
