This project questioned whether the Beulah Land Community Church could intervene and interrupt the cycles of destruction of a four-generation family. I propose that the theology of Black liberation is a good theoretical place to begin to think about how to achieve such a goal. As a result of this research, a new six-week program of spiritual formation based on Jesus Christ as our spiritual pathway is now being regularly offered. I refer to this divine encounter as the 'Holy Instant'.  The holy instant occurs when God supernaturally enters into the human realm of existence and reveals divine knowledge, understanding, and wisdom in order for a person or group of people to accomplish God's unique will in a particular situation at a particular time.  The holy instant experience will always create a relationship of deeper trust and love towards God.
