The project consisted of researching assorted beliefs and practices concerning spiritual warfare in a variety of Christian traditions, then writing a text which integrated the practices into a single model. The resulting resource was evaluated by a panel of experts from a broad range of Christian traditions. Current models, however, have been deficient in teaching the basics of spiritual warfare based solely on biblical principles. This project, therefore, developed lectures on three basic biblical principles of spiritual warfare, taught accompanying lessons, and evaluated learning outcomes to identify if men were conditioned for battle-ready leadership. The research plan included one goal with four objectives. Journal assignments provided the majority of affective data to measure if and how goal accomplishment was achieved. A survey was developed and distributed among thirty participants across five different ELCA congregations in order to develop data. The data gathered indicated that approximately half of the participants lacked a developed understanding of the work of evil and the Devil in their faith lives, including a biblical understanding. The significance of the book of Revelation, especially Revelation 12 and 13, is presented as the theme book for developing a strong biblical foundation. Based on her study, this researcher recommends a stronger integration of biblical theology and missiology in order to establish a biblical foundation for spiritual warfare. In addition, this research suggests a need of a leadership or mission conference for the development of leaders in cross-cultural contexts. The goal of the project is to bring balance to a discipline of extremes while objectively equipping the participants for spiritual warfare and preparing them for possible, if not probable, involvement in 'the battle'.  The members in the church where the project leader serves as pastor, have frequently stated that they are aware of the spiritual battle all around them, but they do not understand the various elements of the warfare, the weapons delineated in Eph 6, or their involvement in spiritual warfare.  Therefore, the project leader will focus on the way that the believer prepares his or her heart for spiritual warfare, where spiritual warfare began, the spiritual weapons that are used to engage the enemy, and the place of angels in spiritual warfare, among other things.
