The methodology is feminist and therefore attempts to break free from traditional understandings of research. The focus of the research is on the women's experience of ministry and supervision and their understanding of spirituality and their vision of ministry with women.  The insights from this study include the effect of patriarchal structures on women, the lack of skills of critical analysis to identify patriarchal reality, the minimal support and nurture for feminists' spirituality, and the limited provision of opportunity to discuss theology from a feminist perspective.  Implications for field education are suggested."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Boston University"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["2d58bd09-76d0-4970-b257-d55229e0173e"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799715993261441024,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T01:55:19.599Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:39:15Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:34:43Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"86f4e439-2a52-4cf8-8fcc-c31d5d4e4a84","accessControl_ssim":["06443687-fe59-4577-b20f-21e8234ac1d7"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The revelatory experience as the basis for spiritual growth"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:39:14Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:06:29Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["0e4e0fe0-e14f-4fa8-8a09-0dd5b6761929"],"hasLease_ssim":["3c270a8b-e731-41b1-b598-e689352d5752"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Daniel B Wessler"],"year_tesim":["1985"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Shane Douglas O'Neil"],"publisher_tesim":["Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Nouwen, Henri J M","Spiritual formation","Spirituality","Niebuhr, H Richard, 1894-1962","Social action"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This dissertation-project, grounded in the revelation theology of H Richard Niebuhr and the spiritual theology of Henri J M Nouwen, develops a learning design which incorporates prayer, the Bible, and the experiences of spiritual masters as resources for revelatory experience. This paper assumes that spirituality has to do with the whole being and examines existential elements of spirituality in a heterodox context. The method followed was based on an existential phenomenological research model. Responses to the request, tell me about your spiritual journey, were recorded and factored for themes.  The evidence suggests that religious organizations have limitations which some individuals may need to move beyond as a part of their movement toward personal integration."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31bd5819-b5a3-4928-96d5-b581f38b637b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127052466782208,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:37:47.357Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Harry Lawrence Banks","hits":1,"label":"Harry Lawrence Banks"},{"value":"Shane Douglas O'Neil","hits":1,"label":"Shane Douglas O'Neil"},{"value":"Shelley Davis Finson","hits":1,"label":"Shelley Davis Finson"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Spirituality","hits":3,"label":"Spirituality"},{"value":"Church work","hits":1,"label":"Church work"},{"value":"Emotions Anonymous International","hits":1,"label":"Emotions Anonymous International"},{"value":"Feminism","hits":1,"label":"Feminism"},{"value":"Fieldwork (Educational method)","hits":1,"label":"Fieldwork (Educational method)"},{"value":"Niebuhr, H Richard, 1894-1962","hits":1,"label":"Niebuhr, H Richard, 1894-1962"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":3,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"Boston University School of Theology","hits":1,"label":"Boston University School of Theology"},{"value":"Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary"},{"value":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":3,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1985","hits":3,"label":"1985"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"Boston University","hits":1,"label":"Boston University"},{"value":"Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary"},{"value":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":3,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Boston University","hits":1,"label":"Boston University"},{"value":"Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary"},{"value":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary","hits":1,"label":"Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":3,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":3,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
