A content analysis process was applied to stressful event descriptions submitted by clergy. Based on factor analysis of the reported frequencies of occurrence and relative effects of events, a list of 44 events named the Pennsylvania Life Events Scale for Clergy, or PLESC, was composed. Significant associations of these 44 events with illness onset, and attempts to leave the ministry or to change churches, were discovered."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Lancaster Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["77231467-10ce-4737-858a-8cc38e70a4f9"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1851873110320480256,"timestamp":"2025-12-18T18:50:22.556Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:18:08Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:53:48Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"997211d6-5f28-4378-a1f2-199820bfdf28","accessControl_ssim":["9ab65108-b72f-47e5-832d-d1dfc1198c3e"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Physiological responses of clinical pastoral education students during an assessment of their ministry"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T22:18:07Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:37:16Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["03f0bc05-2323-4f37-9c9d-c3d958cdbe74"],"hasLease_ssim":["a1419546-50b4-46fc-a14b-3ddbd831dc25"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Trinity Lutheran Seminary (Columbus, OH)"],"advisor_tesim":["Leland Elhard"],"year_tesim":["1984"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Larry VandeCreek"],"keyword_tesim":["Tests and measurements in religion"],"publisher_tesim":["Trinity Lutheran Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Mind and body","Clinical pastoral education (Movement)","Religion and science","Stress (Psychology)"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project hypothesized that clinical pastoral education students generate increased physiological responses on the skin in response to specific statements on the Clinical Ministry Assessement Profile.
