The participants engaged in three foci designed to develop their spirituality: personal spiritual disciplines, individual spiritual direction with the project director, and a weekly meeting that included group spiritual direction.  The weekly meetings also introduced the students to alternative spiritual exercises which the project director encouraged the participants to practice. The three major components of the process are personality inventories, different spirituality modes appropriate to different temperaments, and tools for developing listening skills.  The Personal Profile System instrument was given at the outset and at the conclusion for comparison.  An instrument to elicit the participants' perception of the process was also given at the conclusion.
