A qualitative research methodology was employed to study the characteristics, causes, and cures of nominality in the African Church. Chapter one is on biblical pattern of missions demonstrated by Jesus.  The second is on the beginning and expansion of mission.  It zeroes in on the Sudan Interior Mission and its church denomination, the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA).  Chapter three is a report on the research, and four on training to cure nominality.  Chapter five discusses the content of training and six on the strategy of implementation.  The final chapter is on evaluation of training. The examples of church planting, leadership training, church growth, and government relationships in the history are then compared and contrasted with current missiological writings in those areas. Chapter 1 defines the subject of prayer and proves that the Bible is not only an infallible divine revelation of God's plan of redemption, but also a record of the invaluable inspirational prayers of Jesus Christ. Chapter 2 begins with the birth of the Sudan Interior Mission and substantiates its mission emphasis by prayer in West Africa. Chapter 3 examines hindrances to prevailing prayers and the Nigerian Evangelical Church of West Africa involvement with charismatic movement. Chapter 4 addresses the importance of prayer in mission and biblical imperatives of praying for mission. Prayer strategies for rapid exponential increase of church planting are also included.
