Sunday school teachers, as well as the entire congregation, participated in the first phase for the purpose of laying a foundation for Sunday school evangelism. During a four-week period, group leaders were trained to lead eight consecutive experimental group sessions.  In the eight-week test period 43 persons were divided into five groups of different age spans, plus one group disregarding age concerns.
