This study explores the importance of symbols expressed in dreams, what may appear as nonsensical spontaneous comments, and uncharacteristic behaviors of patients at the end of life. The workshops are designed to inform and develop skills interpreting symbols to enhanced palliative care. Staff reports indicate the calming benefits that interpreting symbols extend to the dying patient.
