The project utilizes 'logotherapy' and the understanding of the 'wilderness' wanderings of the Isrealite people and Jesus' own experiences in the wilderness to propose a framework for turning faith crises into faith transformations.  This project is intended to impact the training of seminary students and hospital chaplains. Supervision facilitates the integration of academic and experiential learning.  The historic and contemporary use of supervision as a modality in ministerial, social work, and teacher education was examined.  Experienced ministers and recent ministerial graduates were interviewed regarding their experiences of being supervised during preordination education.
