The need for this school prompted the author of this project to begin such a school, with the help of a church in Kamloops.  This was accomplished by assessing the desire for such an institution from potential students by means of a questionnaire that was sent to churches in and around Kamloops.  The district officials were also polled and when the results were evaluated, the serious planning for the opening of the school went forward.  The school opened and had twenty students initially signed up.  The first class was taught and the project ended at that point, even though other classes were planned.  There is an evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of the project. This project evaluated the recreation and sports ministry curriculum that was being used by various Baptist Universities, private universities, and some state universities across the United States. The project leader consulted with five nationally recognized organizations. Participants at the Recreation and Sports Ministry Conference in Lake Yale, Florida, were surveyed along with Recreation Administration graduates from Oklahoma Baptist University. Administered by a denomination, the process helps clarify the group's agenda and thrust, further tightening loyalty to the association of churches.  The foundational basis for the mentoring is drawn from Scripture as well as related literature.  An approach is drawn and a mentor agenda is suggested with themes drawn from a survey of ministers as to which topics need emphasizing and suitable for mentoring moments. Drawing on research in communication theory, levels of learning, and convergence worship theory, the project designs and tests a nine-lesson study guide for persons serving congregations consisting of worshipers from diverse backgrounds.
