The first goal is to increase the students' knowledge of Bible doctrine.  The second goal is to strengthen the students' faith and love for God.  In the opening chapter, research is presented that demonstrates a widespread lack of doctrinal emphasis within evangelical churches.  Chapter two addresses the question as to why believers should study Bible doctrine.  Chapter three consists of a narrative of completed class sessions. Chapter one outlines the fundamental research of background information regarding the city, the church and the books of the Thessalonians. Chapter two contains the analysis of the contents of Paul's messages to the Thessalonian church based on biblical truth and faith. Chapter three concerns the study of Paul's missionary strategies in Thessalonica, including his selection of location and people for ministering, his methods of raising the church, his teachings, his working with his own hands, his team ministry and his obedience under the authority of the Holy Spirit. Chapter four presents the study of the principles of church planting and evangelistic ministries for Vineyard Christian Fellowship based on Paul's strategies for Thessalonica. The author's research led to an exploration of the historical background and circumstances that led the movement to embrace the wealthy. My thesis is that a joint, congregationally-based, educational program is an effective approach for fostering genuine Jewish-Christian dialogue. The research model used is both ethnographic and pro-active from the point of view of a participant/observer.
