Nevertheless, members of churches in this setting do respond to invitations to reflect theologically and to talk about their faith.  The author facilitated theological reflection by lay people in three different churches.  Church life and committee work provided material for consideration.  Participants readily accepted the invitation, quickly developing facility with responding to questions posed by the author, and making connections with biblical material. Revelation","Christianity and culture","Theology"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This study explores contextualization of the bridal imagery in Revelation 21-22 in the context of Thailand so that Christians in Thailand not only understand the bridal imagery properly but also apply it effectively.  It includes documentary and field research.  The samples in the survey are 200 students from four Bible colleges in Thailand.  The survey also sets a random example from the designed group in order to compare the results with those 200 students. This project focuses the intersection of John Calvin's theology of repentance and a communications method developed by Episcopal priest Eric Law with a particular Session and other members of the congregation. Law's method was explored with the Session. A qualitative research design was developed and a series of surveys and interviews with elders and church consultant were conducted. Acts","Mission of the church","Church work","Church development, New","Paul, Saint, Apostle","Theology"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of the proposed study was to determine how Paul's leadership styles, attitudes and methodology found in his farewell message of Acts 20:17-38 could be utilized to train a group of fifteen Fountain of Life pastors in the discipline of church planting. The training of the 14 pastors took place in Nairobi, Kenya, in September 2002. The group had one year to put the principles learnt into practice. The class met twice after the one-year period to reevaluate the ten principles they had previously learnt. The project proved that it was possible to plant churches using the ten leadership principles gathered from Paul's speech at Miletus. 5 new churches were planted and the other 9 that had existed before this project began grew by 33% to 185%. It takes a case study on an urban Chinese congregation in New York state with designed teaching material (six sessions) to be tested and evaluated as the method of research.  It concludes that Martin Luther's teaching on prayer is intertwined with his justification by faith and the Theology of the Cross.  Those who pray receive God's grace.
