Churches need to practice the Eucharist in spaces other than church sanctuaries, and space in sanctuaries should be organized to embody meanings of the Eucharist. Churches should also embody in the Eucharist a Christian understanding and practice of time rather than an American time orientation. This project proposes that the church has to become a reconciler in the context of continued struggles and conflicts, recovering leadership in the community by showing a new image of the church that is pursuing reconciliation.  The project reflects on the past and present of Korean immigrant churches in southern California and discusses the need to change their role in the future.
