Christian doctrine to outbound missionaries working with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention during their initial eight-week field personnel orientation. Following a review of the New Testament emphasis on sound doctrine as related to church planting, and the IMB's current strategy for evangelism and church planting, an eight-hour doctrinal course was developed, implemented and tested over a 16-month period with positive results. To test it out, the author reviewed theological studies, interviewed people from a local church, and had dialogue with pastors in a district.  On the basis of this material a Bible study about ancestors and a worship service which includes ancestors were developed.
