This is evident in the rhythmic change of seas, the movement of the moon appointing the ebbs and flows of the tides, and in the cycle of life where birth becomes life and ends in death which brings new life. The creation story in Genesis bears witness to a sacred rhythm. God worked for six days. God's work was completed on the seventh day when God rested, and blessed and hallowed the day. As creatures created in the image of God, our goal becomes one of emulating God.
