The first chapter introduces and delineates the nature and scope of the project. The second chapter provides an overview of the history of Nigeria, describes the current state of violent conflict, and the causes of the conflict. The third chapter highlights the positive and the negative role of religion in Nigeria, defines peace and describes the understanding of peace according to each religion. The fourth chapter identifies teachings that will need to be deconstructed in the major religions that can serve the community to create a dialogue of shalom/salam. The fifth chapter offers the proper way to foster peace through shalom and provides the meaning of reconciliation along with adequate steps toward reconciliation. The sixth chapter focuses on designing an effective curriculum for congregations in order to facilitate peace education. The seventh chapter offers various healthy practices for peace in the Nigerian interfaith community. The eighth chapter reports on the input of USA pastors and analyzes their feedback for the implementation of the curriculum and religious practices in Nigeria."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["e7e2d3cb-fc51-4ba5-a7fd-d43f3f8c150b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132162889613313,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:59:01.037Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:27:22Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T01:49:36Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"251b6606-11ac-4c90-a57c-459ada57614c","accessControl_ssim":["20b97945-6fd8-4799-a947-6b0e19ea8a5c"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Tolerance and lordship: faith experienced in a pluralistic community"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:27:21Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:13:25Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["5557619e-740e-4726-8502-99c152bdac96"],"hasLease_ssim":["b45275aa-2bca-418d-91fc-d5f7e3696c1d"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Luther Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Alan G Padgett"],"year_tesim":["2004"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Paul H Moessner"],"keyword_tesim":["Jesus Christ--Person and offices"],"publisher_tesim":["Luther Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Faith development","Grace (Theology)","Faith","Jesus Christ","Toleration--Religious aspects","Religious pluralism","Christianity and other religions"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Christian theology tries to balance two biblical claims: God's will to save all; salvation only through Jesus Christ. Each unit contains a group discussion guide. The material can be used in nine individual sessions or in a retreat setting. The research of the project was carried out during work with hundreds of people involved in ministry at Friendship Chapel in Jenison, Michigan. The second set of three study units presents a psychological explanation for diversity in the church based on the personality type theory of Carl G Jung. The final three study units present applications of psychological type theory to three areas of significant diversity in the church. The evaluation demonstrates that an acceptance of individual personality characteristics and a tolerance of different opinions on non-essentials of the faith can be significantly increased in the local church by means of an application of Jungian psychological type theory to issues of diversity."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Western Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["910240dd-6bfb-49cb-ab06-1b8de036aac8"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132105583886336,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:58:06.385Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":4,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
