The biblical concept, based on the word, 'oikonomia,' traces God's plan of stewardship from creation to living-out Jesus' teachings. Historical and informational STVIM material was combined with the personal experience of the author in leading STVIM teams. The material was evaluated by 55 persons related to STVIM. This project contains 26 eucharistic prayers based on the Common Lectionary rather than the season.  The project also examines the history of the prayer, Wesley's approach to the sacrament, and how the 1988 United Methodist liturgy developed. The practicum was designed as an evaluation of Disciple which would be accomplished through its use in the candidate's parish and a series of twenty-seven interviews. The first key finding is that Disciple is a Bible study which should be used in every local church. A model for understanding the clergy divorce process emerged with recommendations for pastoral care and counseling.  The data confirms that clergy with children experience fourteen predictable salient events and clergy without children experience twelve salient events in the divorce process.  This modified ethnographic study demonstrates that some of these events are more painful than others. Through the use of a self-study guide, great diversity is revealed within a single congregation's mode of worship, methodologies in ministry, and procedures in administration.  Difficulties in bridging intracultural and intergenerational gaps show the problems in attempting to establish a corporate identity and to define 'Black experience' for that corporate body. Feelings, activities, and reasons for retirement were considered and included: anticipation of freedom from the schedule of meetings and other time-intensive demands; expectations to continue their calling as ministers in some way; and satisfaction in retirement related to collegiality if practiced in active ministry.  The author suggests that all levels of church governing bodies reconsider their policies and programs for the retirement of ministers.
