Through conversations with members in which mutual sharing took place and responses to surveys were made, ethnographic studies, review of relevant literature, and subsequent analysis of data that were gathered, what emerged was an education program that deepened that biblical theological understanding of participants as people of God. This project presents a model that engages in strategic planning and implementation of an Afrocentric NCD from a holistic standpoint.  The planning for an Afrocentric NCD provides for a new paradigm for the North Georgia Conference (NGC). The biblical foundations seminal to such an NCD and the theological contours of mission Dei serve as a framework. The context within the UMC and a specific geographical area are explored and developed.
