To analyze the result of the Walk to Emmaus movement, I made a survey of the ten churches which participated in it actively and about 200 people who belonged to the group of pilgrims in those churches. The validity of the Emmaus program is evaluated through the use of two primary survey instruments. Some of the clergy and all the laity that participated had been on a 'Walk to Emmaus.' The study proved that there was a positive effect on the United Methodist congregations.
