Over a hundred church planter wives from a variety of denominations voluntarily completed a survey about their ministry contributions and six key factors. The survey exposed how the wife of the church planter is considerably involved with her husband's mission to start a new church, and her ministry contributions were especially influenced by her sense of God's calling and her employment status. Quantitative and qualitative research were used by sending questionnaires to all 409 women married to clergy in the West Virginia Annual Conference and talking to those who feel called. The research showed that women married to clergy are not struggling with the call into pastoral ministry more than others not married to clergy are. The study explores the development of the biblical and theological history limiting women's vocational choices.  It traces the enactment, well into the 1960s, of 'disjoining' in the deaconess order.  Remembrances of affected women enflesh the archival records.  A theological framework is applied to assess the quality of the apology.  The disjoining and the apology are both stories of lost opportunity.  The women lost vocational expression and suffered economic and social loss. The project leader wrote a research paper entitled 'Biblical guidelines for the family based on a complementarian approach to Scripture interpretation.' Additionally, the project leader developed an equipping model to equip women to encourage husbands as spiritual leaders. Participants addressed the following issues: (1) Roles and expectations of marriage partners; (2) Spiritual development of the wife; and (3) Acts of love that can encourage husbands as spiritual leaders. The project applied hermeneutical phenomenology strategy to data gathered from interviews with participants, identifying six hope themes: absolute, promise, inner-voice, well-spring, diminished-future, new-us. The researcher used a survey instrument to gather data for this summative evaluation.  The majority (70.2%) agreed that SWIM prepared them for ministry life.  Wives who felt best prepared were older, married longer, had older children, and/or participated in several SWIM programs.  Women who felt least prepared were younger, married shorter periods of time, had no children or very young children, worked full time, and/or had limited participation in
