Responses about gender-specific names for God were put together with father-daughter relationship data to see possible patterns. The greatest difference appeared between clergywomen and laywomen. When these issues and concerns are addressed and understood in relationship to women's psychological and faith development, women are enabled by those in ministry to develop in all aspects of life more fully."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Andover Newton Theological School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["63ab0f5c-c5fb-460c-b8ba-dd2fd91f7145"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133215743803392,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:15:45.117Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:29:36Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:35:51Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"422bb88a-8070-4b7f-909c-eee4bae5e4bb","accessControl_ssim":["26a8789d-139e-4e28-9dc2-9d45802f295d"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["God-images of incest survivors: implications for pastoral psychotherapy"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:29:35Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T00:03:03Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["87a50390-ca11-44a0-bb62-5fd75d29651c"],"hasLease_ssim":["1d596fa1-2a90-4722-a5ec-ab973c5c486d"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["James B Ashbrook"],"year_tesim":["1992"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Miriam C Resch"],"publisher_tesim":["Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Adult child sexual abuse victims","Parent and child--Religious aspects","Children--Religious life","Women","Incest","Image of God","Psychology","Women--Religious life"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This research project explores the God-images of five adult survivors of father-daughter incest. Undergirding this project are the psychological studies showing that children's representations of God are usually formed from internalized images of parents; these early images of God usually remain influential in a person's life. The research was conducted by means of individual interviews with both oral questions and printed word-pairs regarding the participants' parents and their current and childhood God-images. The data showed that the survivors' God-images generally did have characteristics similar to mothers. The data also showed that generally the more severe the incest and the earlier the onset, the more negative the God-image of the survivor. Other findings are noted, and implications for pastoral counseling are explored."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["fc8e637d-6b92-421f-936e-4844dc981265"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791134484159004672,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:35:54.772Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:18:34Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:04:27Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"2c9de545-9e5f-4168-9d6c-a64767b01028","accessControl_ssim":["538d30b1-aa72-44d9-85ed-dd37c7f33a71"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A feminist response to the eucharist section of Baptism, Eucharist and Ministry (BEM) of the World Council of Churches"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T02:18:33Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:25:47Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["ade86228-6d23-414c-95a3-04a916b9e791"],"hasLease_ssim":["5c2fa67e-4a6a-4273-9db4-ff6bbdca19f0"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Antoinette C Wire"],"year_tesim":["1991"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Renate S Rose"],"keyword_tesim":["Feminist theology"],"publisher_tesim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Women--Religious life","Words of Jesus Christ","Baptism, Eucharist and Church work (Document)","Lord's Supper"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The Eucharist has traditionally been attached to the so-called 'words of institution.' Research on the various denominations shows the different ways humans, particularly women, express their relationship with God and each other and how that is worked out in their lives individually and in community. The denominations studied are: Roman Catholics, Mennonites, Hutterites, Shakers and Quakers. Spirituality is the connectedness that humans experience with God, but it also calls them to interact with each other and to act in the world."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["d722638c-a7e2-43f3-93ff-4762bde0dde7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133246074912768,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:16:14.043Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":48,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
