The two main objectives of the study are to minister to the spiritual needs of the gay/lesbian person and his/her family, and to design and implement a method of instruction which can help others better understand the needs of gay/lesbian persons and minister to them in the community of believers.  The latter objective is addressed through the design and testing of a workshop format which included general information on homosexuality, social issues, AIDS, Scripture and theology and general ministry to and with homosexual persons. It focuses on the problems and possibilities for ministers who share ministry with the same congregation.  From Phyllis Trible's God and the Rhetoric of Sexuality the author takes the definition of feminism as a critique of culture in light of misogyny.  This definition provides the starting point for her critique of ministry.  From Elisabeth Schuessler Fiorenza's book In Memory of Her she learns the ways of feminist hermeneutics which serve as a critical tool for viewing the development of the church and ministry and as a constructive tool for seeing and creating new possibilities in ministry. Shared ministry, the possibility which the author envisions, applies a feminist hermeneutics to the life of the church. The project uses information obtained from an extensive review of the literature on adult education and the Baptist deacon. It examines such skills as leadership, group management, conflict management, and church family ministry needs.  The material first is presented pedagogically.  An andragogical section follows which presents practical uses of the material.  Some positive results are obtained. It designed and tested a thirty-six hour workshop that helped eleven participants learn: 1) ways of identifying burnout; 2) what effects burnout can have on one's spiritual and physical conditions; and 3) ways clergy can equip themselves to cope with burnout and retain their effectiveness as ministers.  The project developed three instruments: a Self-Evaluation Survey on Burnout; a Fatigue Factor Survey; and a Participant's Evaluation Form.  This process was successful in raising participants' consciousness about burnout. It is, therefore, a vital and integral part of public worship.  However, despite the availability of broad general guidelines at the denominational level, these have not always been implemented in an effective manner at the level of the local church or pastoral district.  This project is presented in two parts.  Part one is a paper which serves as the theoretical component of the project.  It includes a biblical-theological rationale for congregational singing, a denominational perspective, an historical overview of Christian hymnody and suggestions for the implementation of the workshop program which follows.  The practical component of the project is contained in part two which contains the suggested workshop program.  The program is to be presented over two weekends. The first weekend helps the church members understand the role of congregational singing in worship.  The second weekend addresses the music personnel and worship leaders. The church now lacks the resources to offer these families the education, support and spiritual guidance which would strengthen the relationships of the couples and the families, make their expectations more realistic and identify the characteristics, stages and developmental tasks of remarriage.  This paper helps fill this gap with a six week structured workshop for remarried couples with blended families. The central focus is a workshop methodology which is progressive in design, content, and format, and is based on principles of androgogy.  The workshops give: 1) an experience of shared Christian praxis by using the theme 'coming to know God'; 2) a knowledge, practical understanding and an opportunity to use shared Christian praxis; 3) a demonstration of how the Sadlier Religion Program uses shared Christian praxis as a teaching-learning process in the K-8 curriculum; 4) a redefinition of shared Christian praxis which enables classroom religion teachers to use the process effectively. The workshops are designed to educate religion teachers in Catholic school religion programs and in parishes.  They have been successfully given throughout the United States in Roman Catholic dioceses since
