The methodology included a pretest, a packet of learning activities for the purpose of pre-workshop preparation, a workshop, the post-test and the use of the Delta Model for future action planning and transfer of learning. Traditional evangelical women exemplify how patriarchal paradigms prevent women from finding their voices.  Pat Schneider's creative writing program was used in a spiritual growth workshop.  The women participants described the difficulties of having a voice amidst both their church's patriarchal authority and their internal struggles with their role as women.  As the workshop concluded the women reported experiencing some personal growth. Ten pastors who have experienced a forced exit are interviewed. Their insights are combined with parallel research that has studied the involuntary termination of chief executive officers. The results of this research form the basis of a workshop for current pastors.
