Using a phenomenological approach, he compares and contrasts his lectionary usage within this church to both his own formulations upon proper lectionary usage and systematic usage of the Bible in worship in the early Lutheran, Reformed, and Anglican traditions.  As a theoretical base the author assumes a 'subjectivity of knowing' foundation. Based upon this foundation, the author devises a method of analysis employing an 'integrative matrix', consisting of 'perceiving', 'describing', 'conceiving', and 'communicating'. 'Sharing' takes place when an individual member of the congregation relates to the congregation an event he deems spiritually significant.  Personal sharing requires a greater degree of self-disclosure and transparency than impersonal sharing.
