Drawing on research in communication theory, levels of learning, and convergence worship theory, the project designs and tests a nine-lesson study guide for persons serving congregations consisting of worshipers from diverse backgrounds. Members of these churches exhibit diverse musical preferences and appear to welcome diversity. They find hymn singing essential to worship.
