It is this author's conviction that it is time for the church to claim the theological premise that crafting eucharistic practices of friendship across cultures provides a vision of faith that will address racial divisiveness and build bridges of reconcilitation in society.  The author wrote a workbook that served as an instrument to facilitate daily reflection upon ways the Eucharist inspires practices of friendship across ethnicity and social class.  The author conducted an eight-week project which included multi-cultural worship, sharing of stories in small groups, and participation in Eucharist.  Evaluation of the project included the use of surveys and interviews. A qualitative research model was employed, primarily utilizing focus group interview sessions, as well as private interviews. The sample population consisted of twenty churches of different denominations that consistently reach non-Christians through their worship services.  A researcher-designed questionnaire and semi-structured interview were used as instruments.
