During a three-month worship workshop, questionnaires and interviews were administered.  The data indicated improvements in understanding and profit from worship.  Preparation for worship was realized to be essential for true, profitable worship.  The study concludes that worship education should be included in church curriculums. Consequently, we should develop ways of worshipping that will meet the needs of those who attend yet stimulate the uninvolved and turned-off persons of the community.  The literature of worship, past and present, was studied, along with the worship of various congregations.  At the same time, members of our worship commissions were encouraged to read books on worship and to ask questions where they were unclear about why we worship as we do.  Worship can be enriched, but this involves change which may be resisted. Our approach has been for the pastor and worship commissions to work together as they looked at our worship and decided upon ways it might be enriched and improved. If general agreement was not reached, changes were not made. After a good many changes had been made, we prepared a questionnaire to obtain congregational reaction to them and to help us plan future actions. The author conducted a survey of Lutheran congregations in central Florida to test the theory that worship helps in the Sunday bulletin increases the comprehension of participants in the service. The research was done through the examination of books which have been written on the subject. An exegetical study of certain selected biblical passages dealing with the matter of the praise of God was also included in the research.  The amount of knowledge concerning the subject was determined by the use of a pre-test and post-test designed by the author.  A series of eleven sermons were preached in order to increase the knowledge of the church members. His program of inspiration, education, and implementation attempted to increase family worship activity in fifteen parish families.  Of forty-nine participating families, eighteen registered a substantial increase in home worship activity. Fourteen church members followed a daily devotional plan for six weeks.  Tested before, during, and after the six weeks of daily devotions, the participants reported frequency of perceived hindrance to worship and prayer life in devotion to God. The basic thrust of the parables seems to convey messages about the Kingdom of God.  The application of these Kingdom of God messages may be utilized in public worship, parabolical writings and church school curriculum.
