Since 2005, the unchurched segment among this age group increased from 44% to 52%.  The project sought to demonstrate that activating spiritual gifts in young adults, complemented by mentoring and training, increases their church attendance and commitment to God. Research methodologies included cognitive interviews, pre and post surveys, structured observations, leadership development, written testimonials and participation in church activities.  Hypothesis testing measured attitudinal changes related to awareness, actions, perception and reasoning. A number of at-risk youth were used for this project.  The research was done through qualitative studies, evaluations, counseling, spiritual training, and mentoring by parents, teachers, counselors and church leaders. This thesis argues that a greater number of youth can be retained if the preachers have a positive ethos with the youth. This thesis analyzes the Armenian evangelical community and outlines reasons for both negative and positive ethos. Through personal experience, interviews and surveys, a clearer picture of the role of the preacher emerges. Subjects were exposed to five different expository sermons in the two sermon forms and their responses to a questionnaire were collected the next day (N-1,000).  There was no significant difference between the sermon forms and the subjects ability to recall the big idea.  Narrative sermons are as equally effective as propositional sermons in recall. The primary purpose of this phenomenological study is to capture and describe their lived experiences from an emic perspective by conducting a one-year field research that utilized a sequential procedure of applying mixed research methods. The researcher discovered the construction of universal identity and the use of social media and information technology in evangelism. She also heard the urgent cry for spiritual support for a growing CBC youth population. The research method for this project was a program evaluation, which assessed the effectiveness of expository preaching from the Book of Haggai in hopes of stimulating the spiritual growth of young believers at Dong-do Presbyterian Church in Seoul in the areas of comprehension, convictions, and conduct. In this reality, this paper is a practical product of applying the principles of the youth revival discovered in 'the revival of the Bible,' 'the natural church development theory,' and 'the great revival movement of the Korean church' to the youth division of Hwado Methodist Church for the revival.
