The design is used as a teaching tool in the training of elected officers for their work which illuminates the importance of effective organizational management and theological integrity. Research focused on the nature and functioning of an embassy, the identification of the strengths and weaknesses of organizational models and the insights of Kingdom of God theology.  The model proved an effective means of helping officers understand and accept their responsibilities. First, there is data gathered from several week-end workshops for personal change conducted by a well-known pastoral counselor.  Second, there is a discussion of such issues as ethics in counseling, the work of the Holy Spirit, metaphors of theological importance, and a series of practical questions that deal with such issues as evangelism in counseling. Third, the work describes suggestions for pastoral identity as a result of the data collected. Thus, biography and autobiography may effectively be used to encourage theological reflection by adults in the church. The project includes a survey of the literature of narrative theology (with particular attention to Stroup, Hauerwas and McClendon) and a discussion of hermeneutical problems. The author proposes a four-step method for biographical theology, and applies it to group studies of the life stories of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and C S Lewis. Statistical analysis failed to confirm the hypothesis. Instructional objectives are stated as learning outcomes and defined in terms of specific behaviors that students are expected to demonstrate.  The author attempts to identify various aspects of the evangelistic task from which specific component skills are extrapolated.  Measurements are accomplished by the use of performance observation and by a pre-test and post-test in the form of a semantic differential taken by participants and two control groups. After reading many books and materials in the fields of evangelism and pastoral care, the author established criteria that would give the program integrity, both theologically and practically.  He established the need through personal evaluation and a survey, and then developed the training program and relayed the dynamics of the training sessions. The pastor achieved this by appointing four committees.  The history committee looked into how the church grew by caring in the past. The planning committee then took the work of the other three committees and developed three to five years of caring plans. The project develops exegetical and historical perspectives of spiritual gifts and devises a strategy for church growth utilizing spiritual gifts. The workshop divided participants into two ministry groups and facilitated their exercising those gifts in ministry.  A church growth committee, comprised of persons with the gift of administration, developed plans for growth.  Gifted participants, possessing other spiritual gifts, made those plans a reality.
