The church has lacked sufficient teachers to cover the needs in the Sunday School classes. This project was designed to train six to eight persons as teachers for young people and adults. The areas of training chosen were the privileges and responsibilities of a Sunday School teacher, the revelation of the redemptive message of salvation, regional differences of the Spanish language and culture, basic methods of teaching, the organization of Sunday School classes, and characteristics of the adult and young people groups. Preparation for the project included research, writing of a prospectus, selection of materials, church planning, and enlistment of trainees. Implementation of the project covered a six-week period. The evaluation was conducted through the use of three kinds of questionnaires filled out by the trainees. They stated an improvement of their knowledge in all areas of study."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["e59d8a7f-b140-41e1-9d1f-4e98aaa1d973"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132502716317696,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:04:25.120Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:05:15Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:41:32Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"fe944601-698e-40a5-a60a-ebee61e3c199","accessControl_ssim":["6ff81c96-0493-456a-ab7e-bde7e264588a"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A study of marriage preparation among Free Methodist pastors in the Wabash Conference"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:05:14Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:24:26Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["c8458ad9-54b7-4ce3-a853-da51ac350ff1"],"hasLease_ssim":["f4a062e1-e1a3-4fb5-ac66-d7698a796bec"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Asbury Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Fred VanTatenhove"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Darold L Hill"],"keyword_tesim":["Religious surveys"],"publisher_tesim":["Asbury Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Free Methodist Church of North America","Marriage counseling"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The author seeks to validate the assumption that there is a substantial contrast between the pastoral practice of the pastors of the Wabash Conference of the Free Methodist Church and the espoused theories of these same pastors regarding marriage preparation. In addition, participants were asked to read and respond to Leonard Boff's The Lord's Prayer: The Prayer of Integral Liberation, which is an interpretation of the Lord's Prayer from a liberation theology perspective. A third component of the project was a series of sermons on the petitions of the prayer. A 1982 survey of congregations found sixty-nine percent with pastor pattern, sixteen percent bench, and eleven percent team. A 1985 sampling of members showed substantial advocacy for broad sharing of leadership, with strongest support in team churches and least in bench. Team congregations generally scored highest in relation to researcher's criteria that best leadership maximizes involvement in congregational leadership, decision making, and mission."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Lancaster Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["77231467-10ce-4737-858a-8cc38e70a4f9"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1851873150465212416,"timestamp":"2025-12-18T18:51:00.841Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:04:16Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:46:04Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"fa68202b-f1d0-47fb-9127-d22d7daee038","accessControl_ssim":["63f6617d-338d-486a-909a-fcd2171a4e20"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Kingdom evangelism - a Korean perspective"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:04:15Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:17:07Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["9652694f-6966-4070-95ce-5f617c8161a9"],"hasLease_ssim":["f168ea7e-d623-4e94-8d8b-8423be3a212d"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Candler School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["George E Morris"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Park Si Won"],"keyword_tesim":["Church and community"],"publisher_tesim":["Candler School of Theology of Emory University"],"subject_tesim":["Kingdom of God","Koreans","Evangelistic work","Poor and the church"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Kingdom evangelism is neither shamanistic evangelism which sells the cheap grace of religious individualism in the modern disguise of church growth, nor a mere human development at the expense of the Gospel.
