To increase their personal and structural awareness of sexism, a method of theological reflection on sexism and ministry was designed and used. The qualitative and feminist research methodology gathered data by means of field notes, journals, evaluations and presentations of the theological reflection method. Consciousness, theology and behaviour were manifestly altered in each of the four seminarians. The Firstborn of all creation suffers today in the devastation of the planet.  To preach on the Passion a preacher requires a perspective transformation.  A perspective transformation is a form of adult learning in which people come to realize the limitations of their culturally induced and taken-for-granted world view and then take action to change it.  In a series of meetings using a method of qualitative research of a phenomenological nature, the author discovered that it is possible to facilitate a perspective transformation from mechanistic to an organicist world view. The Youth Corps (Toronto, Canada) experience was chosen as an existing operational vehicle for the research. As a qualitative study, the bias was lessened by asking predetermined questions to former team members of Youth Corps.  The results demonstrated that the team model is an effective approach to ministry.  It challenges people to work within a meaningful vision, to respond to action, and to an awareness of every person's leadership role. The importance of a strategy for growth and the theological perspectives of church growth are examined.  This small church faced major obstacles to growth but at the end of the seven-year period the average number of participants in the worship service grew to 114. The theological principle will suggest that the congregation needs to move away from viewing itself as the family of God or a fellowship, to an understanding of itself as the people of God.  Research will explain the difference between: the concept of a neighborhood church and that of a metropolitan church; new developing neighborhoods and stable communities; and small churches and large churches. Over a three year period efforts were made to explore biblical stories concerning women with a group of women in a small rural parish.  Methods included Bible study, retreat days, Sunday preaching, and use of scripture in pastoral counseling. Periodic evaluation and shared reflections were used as indicators of growth. By far the most significant unifying force for these groups was the fellowship of the congregation. Establishment of a dialogue around ethical issues between those engaged in biotechnological research and members of the ethics/religious communities would provide a forum for exploration of shared issues.  The author presents such a model through establishment of a dialogue between researchers from the Monsanto Company and a heterogeneous group of religious leaders from the St Louis, Mo area.
