All ministry activities were evaluated through participant questionnaires. A ten-week support group encounter, focusing on fellowship, honesty and support, assisted the group members in understanding the reasons why churches do not grow numerically and provided support to cope with the non-growth situation.  The results of the project revealed slight differences in the feelings, expectations and outlook of the pastors in the support group as compared to the total number of pastors in the Association. The primary task in this ministry setting is to increase the worshiper's understanding that congregational worship can be both structured and spontaneous.  The issue is not formality versus informality, but planned worship versus unplanned worship.  The research tools utilized in this project were congregational surveys and a structured interview. The study involved use of a two group pretest/posttest to test for knowledge gain as well as three spiritual gift inventories.  Attitude change was measured by use of a semantic differential constructed for this project.  A focused interview was also conducted with small group participants.  The result of the project showed some significant change in attitude toward ministry involvement in those who understood themselves as gifted for ministry.
